Type Rules!

Type Rules is a typography handbook that I created as part of the Typography Structures class whilst on my semester exchange at the Ontario College of Art and Design University (OCADU). This 4 chapter book is filled with all types of rules and information that are used in modern-day typography, from the History of font styles to more technical grids and adjustments used within typography. The overall design of this book and content was created by me with the assistance of Professor Richard Hunt, who guided me through the creative process of this book. 

My intention for this book were to create a fun and inviting experience for the reader whilst retaining its information about typography, using a selected few colours that are bright and fun whilst maintaining a consistent font selection. The book also uses some minimalist characteristics that complement the content of the book. Overall I am proud of the outcome of this printed book and hope that it can be used to help others learn typography.
